Elderaly Sikh Man and His Helper Murdered in His Shop in Madhya Pradesh

INDORE: An elderly Sikh trader and his young helper were found dead under mysterious circumstances inside their shop in Khalwa area of Khandwa district on Wednesday morning.

Sardar Ranvir Singh, 63 and his helper Sitaram Barela, 20, were found dead inside their shop in Gulai village of Khalwa area.

According to superintendent of police, Khandwa, Manoj Kumar Sharma, “the team from Khalwa police station which went to the spot for investigation, found injuries on the elderly grocery trader’s head, besides evidence which suggested that the trader could have been first hit on the head and then strangulated.”

Helper Sitaram’s body was also lying at the same spot and circumstantial evidence suggested that he too was strangulated, the Khandwa SP added.

Surprisingly, cash in the shop’s money box remain untouched, which points towards burglary not being the motive behind the two unnatural deaths.

A case has been registered under Sections 460 and 394 of IPC and investigations are underway.
