The 550th Venue for Celebrations of Guru Nanak’s Gurpurab saw torrential rainfalls which caused havoc on the site. The over 100 acre site was seen being flooded with mud causing difficult conditions.
The venue had to cancel most of the events for the day as the rain was too much for events to continue. The government took the decision to cancel the events and use the remaining day for the PM of India to inaugurate the corridor.
