A dental student by the name of Randhir Kaur was slayed in her apartment which is the first homicide in the city of Albany, California since 2004.
The suspect or suspects haven’t been identified and police are conducting an investigation to figure out who was involved.
The student who belongs to Ropar, Punjab was studying dentistry at UCSF. The body of the student was found in her apartment on Monday afternoon and pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of death hasn’t been determined but the medical officials of Alameda County will conduct an autoposy to determine cause of death.
As of Wednesday morning, no arrest in the killing was made and the incident occured on a few blocks from the Albany city police headquarters and City hall.
Those close to Randhir Kaur stated she was a “treasured member of the UCSF School of Dentistry and the community.”
