Copy of Sri Darbar Sahib Erected in Kolkata Sparking Protests

A copy of Sri Darbar Sahib was erected in Bhawanipur in Kolkata for a Hindu religious event called Durga Puja. Images of the copy have gone viral on social media causing people to be unhappy over the matter.

SGPC President Gobind Singh Longowal took action of the move and stated that Sri Darbar Sahib can’t be copied. He went onto say that those who erected the copy hurt Sikh sentiments.

The SGPC has directed local Sikh Gurdwara committee to send a report of the incident with facts after visiting the site.
