A person familiar with a kidnapping incident has alerted fellow Sikh community members of the event. The incident occurred at Gravesend Gurdwara Sahib in Gravesham, UK.

The person who broke the story on social network stated, “I understand that someone tried to kidnap a girl at Gravesend Gurdwara on Sunday 10th May – the girl was 11. A similar incident happened in Ilford and also in Hern Bay. Please keep vigilant and tell other parents too.”

The Gurdwara Sahib responded to the enquiry, “Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara Gravesend The police are looking into this matter and the Gurdwara is assisting with enquiries and have provided cctv footage from the day. We ask anyone with any information relating to the incident call 101. Thanks”

The message was being widely shared to alert others of the risk and incidents of kidnappings are occurring at Gurdwaras.

The matter is under police investigation and so further information is available at this time.
