(DSU News Bureau) A Sikh in Canada has allegedly printed saroop of Guru Granth Sahib Ji in 2 parts says the Sant Samaj. This was brought to the notice of Akal Takht and it says it has taken a serious note of the matter.

The Sant Samaj submitted a memorandum to Giani Gurbachan Singh where it says the person in question Darshan Singh of Canada printed saroop of Guru Sahib in 2 parts. The printing of saroop in two parts is against Sikh Tenets as entire saroop is a single entity and so it can’t be split into 2 parts.

The Sant Samaj also noted that black letters weren’t used and the space between words weren’t like standard saroops. The Jathedar has directed Darshan Singh to immediately stop printing of saroops and wait until direction of the Akal Takht.

The Jathedar said the matter will be discussed at the next meeting, the date which hasn’t been determined.
