British MP Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi spoke in the house of commons asking to hold a debate on the farm laws after an online petition passed over 1 lakh signatures. The petitions that receive over a lakh signatures get a debate inside the parliament according to the House of Commons petitions website.
Tanmanjeet stated that over 100MPs have written a letter to PM Modi asking for his intervention in the farmers’ protests.
Tanmanjeet has also gave support to the release of Nodeep Kaur whose sister has alleged that she was sexually assaulted in police custody.
