Police are appealing for a missing teenage Derby girl to contact them.

Pavandeep Kaur Tiwana left her home in Sinfin yesterday afternoon to go to a work placement in a charity shop but the 17-year-old did not arrive.

Her sister saw her walking along Moorside Crescent in the direction of Asda.

PC Tony Wilson, from Derby’s missing person unit, said: “Pavandeep is not in trouble. We just want to know that she is safe. She doesn’t have to come home but we need her to contact us as soon as she can.”

Pavandeep is 5′ 5″ tall with very long black hair. She has not gone missing previously but she may have travelled to Leicester to meet a friend.

Officers would like Pavandeep or anyone who knows where she is to contact them on 101.
