Breaking: Five Dead After Bangalore-Nanded Train Crashes Into Truck In Andhra Pradesh

Up to Six people have been reported dead including an MLA from Karnataka with 20 injured after a truck hit the Bangalore-Nanded train in Andhra Pradesh.


The MLA from Karnataka named Venkatesh Naik was reported dead. The driver of the truck lost control and couldn’t slam the breaks to avoid the coach of the Nanded Express at the rail crossing in Ananput district. The truck was carrying a massive load of granite.

The driver of the granite-laden truck lost control and hit a coach of Nanded Express at a level crossing in Anantpur district.

Five passengers travelling in H1 coach of Bengaluru-Nanded train and the truck driver were killed in the accident, that also led to derailment of two other coaches.


Two other coaches were derailed in the accident of the Bangalore-Nanded train.

The accident occurred at a level crossing at Madakasira in Penukonda mandal of Anantapur district, affecting the train movement on Bangalore-Guntakal route.
