Six people have reportedly died while 100 injured after an ammonia gas tanker leaked on Saturday morning. The gas immediately started leaking after the tanker got stuck under the flyover on the Doraha Bypass Road along the canal.
The six people died immediately after inhaling gas and the bodies were shifted to Ludhiana. The 100 injured persons were having trouble breathing due to inhaling the gas.
Many nearby residents came to see what happened but trouble followed after they inhaled the leaking gas.
The tanker had license plate from Gujarat and headed towards Ludhiana.
The injured were taken to several hospitals and the gas leak wasn’t contained per latest reports.
