A goat arrested yesterday for raiding a senior bureaucrat’s garden in Chhattisgarh was granted a bail today. Along with its owner, it has been booked under charges that carry a two to seven year prison term and a fine.
An errant goat was detained by the police after it allegedly grazed in the garden of Judge Hemant Ratre’s house in Chhattisgarh’s Korea district. Goat’s owner said his goat crossed the gate and ate the flowers and vegetables grown in the premises.
Assistant Sub-Inspector R P Srivastava informed that the goat-owner is a habitual offender and he has been booked under sections 447 and 427 of the Indian Penal Code.
