Hinduism exists due to Sacrifices made by Guru Gobind Singh Ji- Bihar Governor, Satya Pal Malik
On the last day of 351st birth anniversary celebrations of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji at Takht Sri Patna Sahib on December 25, the Governor of Bihar Satya Pal Malik paid obeisance at the Takht Sri Harmandir Patna Sahib and had glimpse of the sacred relics related to the Guru.
Addressing the gathering in the main shelter erected for meeting of Sikh devotees, Bihar Governor Satya Pal Malik said that Guru Gobind Singh Ji became an incomparable example of a revolutionary, a social reformer, a defender of human rights in only at the age of 42 years.
He added that he feels that the sacrifices made by Guru Gobind Singh Ji couldn’t be given reward by the Indian government it deserves.
Satya Pal Malik further said that despite of being a Hindu, he feels that the Hindu religion was existing in India due to sacrifices made by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji otherwise the Hindu religion would have been a religion of past in India.
Recalling the episode of quitting fortress of Chamkaur by Guru Sahib, Malik said that Guru Sahib was asked by Bhai Daya Singh to cover dead bodies of Sahibzada Ajit Singh and Sahibzada Jujhar Singh with sheets but Guru Sahib didn’t do so making an example of equality among his disciples and sons.
Satya Pal Malik further said that it was his good fortune that he got chance to serve in the birthplace of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. He asked the Takht Sri Patna Sahib Management Committee to keep on inviting him every year.
A book named ‘Gobind Prakash’ published by the Takht Sri Patna Sahib Management Board was also released on this occasion by the Governor Satya Pal Malik.
