Bhagwant Mann Wants to Contest Assembly Election Against Sukhbir Badal

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann, has expressed his wish to contest the Punjab assembly elections due to take place in 2017, but he wants to go up against Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal. During an interview Bhagwant Mann has said, “Pending permission from the party, I would like to contest from any place where Sukhbir Badal is standing.”

Bhagwant Mann’s could well be forming a strategy at aiming for the CM candidate from AAP as the AAP convener and present Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, had also contested against Congress top Delhi leader and the then CM Sheila Dikshit in 2013. During the interview, he added that he said the AAP CM candidate would be “aam” (common) and not khaas (special).
