Video: Against the backdrop of sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in various villages of Punjab , Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal said there was a “deep-rooted conspiracy” to target religious places in the state and asked people to thwart the nefarious designs of anti-social elements.
In a letter to the Jathedar, the Chief Minister said: “What has happened over the last few days has shaken my conscience. It has caused immense pain to the Sikh community. Unpredictable instances are taking new turns which may be all the more dangerous. I have always discharged my duties to the best of my abilities, but at times something happens which is not in your control, causing immense mental trauma.”
Parkash Singh Badal also appealed for peace on his PTC channel following the multiple sacrileges which took place in just the last few days.
