31 December 2014 – A number of Sikh organisations have raised the demand for the ban on the upcoming movie ‘MSG – Messenger of God’, starring the Sirsa Cult Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim. Sikhs say that this movie will spread hate amongst the brotherhood of society.
Baba Ranjit Singh Khalsa Dhadrianwale, speaking to news reporters, said the notorious Dera Sirsa Chief is known for instigating the religious sentiments of the Sikh community.
Baba Ranjit Singh Khalsa has supported the demand to ban the movie, which is due to be released on 16 January 2015, advising the Punjab Government should rise above political vote bank constraints in order to make an informed decision.
Sikhs are believed to be against the promotion and release of the so-called ‘MSG’ movie in every way. The Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib has also been requested to put forward the Sikh demands to the Punjab Government.
