Amitabh Bachchan’s CBI Statement in Contradiction with Jagdish Tytler’s Statement


After claims emerged regarding clean chit to Congress leader Jagdish Tytler in the 1984 Sikh genocide, the CBI has reportedly told a court that Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan does not recall if Tytler was present at Delhi’s Teen Murti Bhavan on November 1, 1984.

As per a NDTV report, “Amitabh Bachchan in his statement said that he had no recollection of Tytler being at Teen Murti Bhavan that day. He also said he knows who Tytler is as someone who he had seen with Sanjay Gandhi, Indira Gandhi’s younger son, and also that he had met him a few times.

Amitabh Bachchan in a statement to the CBI stated that he did not recall Jagdish Tytler in the Teen Murti Bhavan on November 1, 1984.


Amitabh Bachchan in the CBI statement stated that he only meant Tytler a few times and got to know him through Rajiv Gandhi.

He further stated that his family has known the Gandhi family since Jawaharlal Nehru’s time.
