The 2nd annual Delhi Fateh Diwas of 1783 was celebrated by Sikh Sangat in New Delhi with a lot of joy. The 2nd day of the celebrations saw a “Khalsai March” where Nihang Singhs, Gatka groups, Sikh army personnel and Sikh Sangat participated.
The event organized by the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Parbandak Committee seeks to educate the public and youth about the historic conquest by Sikh generals Sardar Bhagael Singh, Jassa Singh Ahluwalia, and Jassa Singh Ramgharia.
The event was attended by all five Takht Jathedars who rode on the same vehicle while marching in the parade. The two event attracted thousands of people watching and learning history of Sikhs who overthrew the Mughals to win the most prized city of India.
