We’re urgently appealing for sightings of a Wolverhampton grandmother who’s been missing for almost 24 hours.

Mukhtiar Sidhu, from Marden Close in Portobello, left her home address at around 4.30pm possibly heading to the Guru Nanak Gurdwara Temple in Willenhall’s Walsall Road.

However, no-one has seen the 72-year-old grandmother since and her family are growing increasingly concerned for her wellbeing.

PC Eleanor Adams said officers have conducted checks with friends and family, the temple, hospitals and carried out an extensive search of the local area but so far haven’t been able to locate Mrs Sidhu.

She is described as an Asian lady, 5ft 6ins tall, with long plaited brown hair and some facial hair; she was wearing a dark blue faded coat, dark green bottoms, dark coloured head scarf and a wrist bangle.

Anyone who believes they’ve seen Mrs Sidhu is asked to call PC Adams at Wolverhampton police station on the 101 number.
