The Akali Dal have given a warning to Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh because of some content in his film ‘Udta Punjab’. An Akali Dal member stated the new film presents inaccurate figures of the drug situation in Punjab.
The trailer launched yesterday stated in the start that 70% of the youth in Punjab are addicted to drugs. An Akali Dal leader stated that Diljit Dosanjh promotes drug use in his songs and that he has no right to comment on the drug situation.
Virsa Singh Valtoha from the Akali Dal stated that “The singer who stated to abstain on Veervar in his song, how can he comment on drugs? It’s only due to making money.”
It’s expected that the film will be prevented from screening in Punjab.
