After Outrage, SGPC Reinstates Removed Pingalwara Stall

(DSU News Bureau) The SGPC reinstated the removed Pingalwara Charitable Trust stall near the entrance of Sri Harmandir Sahib after pressure from worldwide Sikh sangat.

The removal of the stall on the orders of Sukhbir Badal caused outrage worldwide with Sikhs ringing the phone of the SGPC nonstop to express their outrage.


After the removal of the stall, the news quickly spread on social networks which gave the trust tremendous support. The President of the Pingalwara trust Bibi Inderjeet Kaur and Sikh sangat sat on protest outside the complex until the SGPC representative came to re-allow the stall.

The Pingalwara trust has issued the following statement:


“Sit in Dharna to protest against forcible removal of Bhagat Puran Singh Pingalwara Stall at Ghanta Ghar Jaura Ghar culminated in Great Success SGPC Authorities came and installed the stall in Jaura Ghar Varanda amidst shouting of Jaikara of Bole So Nihal. At the end Ardas was performed to thank Almighty Wahegueu for successful completion of the mission.
Pingalwara sincerely thanks all well wishers who have continuously been a source of strength during this hour of crisis.”
