Diljit Dosanjh, the popular Punjabi singer has been seen around Mumbai visiting various studios for interviews after entering the Bollywood scene with his film ‘Udta Punjab.’
Diljit has often stated that he’s not an actor but that once he’s put into a scene things sort of happen on their own. Bollywood has appeared to recognize his unique natural acting ability which has impressed quite a few directors and producers.
Responding to a question by a radio jockey on the importance of the Turban, Diljit responded, “The turban has a very big meaning, during WW1 Sikhs were told that they wouldn’t be compensated if they didn’t wear the new bullet proof helmets. The Sikhs did not care they said they won’t take off the turban and replace it with a helmet even if it cost them their live. Such is the importance of the Sikh Turban.”
