Sukhbir Badal: No Sikh Leader Arrested in Punjab

Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal says No sikh leader has been arrested in Punjab.

Accusing the Congress of conspiring to disturb peace in Punjab, deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal on Monday claimed that the radical Sarbat Khalsa was a “well-planned” ploy of the party to discredit the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).

Addressing a gathering at Gurdwara Nankiana Sahib here, Sukhbir said, “The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has got vital clues into the sacrilege cases and its report will be out in four months.”

Sukhbir said the main motive behind involving the CBI investigation into this case was to get to the root cause of the problem. Coming down heavily on such anti-national forces, S. Badal said that these elements have an agenda which is inimical to the social fabric of the state and their aim is to create an atmosphere of terror in the state by orchestrating such incidents.
