Ludhiana Groom Jumps Bridge onto Canal on the Way to Wedding

A 25-year-old man jumped into Sidhwan Canal near Dugri bridge here, hours before his wedding on Friday.

The youth, Mohit, a resident of Shivpuri, was on his way to get married at a marriage palace near Arora Cinema.
His father said on the way, Mohit complained of feeling sick due to the heat. “As we stopped the car near Dugri bridge, Mohit removed his clothes and jumped into the canal,” he said.

The family raised the alarm and sounded the police who called in divers to locate Mohit, but in vain, the father said while refusing to divulge further information.
