KPS Gill’s Statement on Sarbat Khalsa Decision on Him

Fromer Punjab Police DGP KPS Gill stated that the Sarbat Khalsa held on November 10 has no authority.

Both Gill and Kuldip Brar were accused of committing “genocide of Sikhs” at the Sarbat Khalsa and declared “tankhaiya” (a person guilty of religious misconduct). He said he will not appear before the Akal Takht as declared.

Talking to media, K P Gill said: “Who are they to declare me guilty of any misconduct? They themselves have done the greatest harm to the Sikh faith. They are nobody to ask me to appear before the Akal Takht.” When asked if he would seek forgiveness at the highest temporal seat of the Sikhs, he said: “Absolutely not.”
