5 Million Bags of Wheat Go Bad in Village of Punjab, Full of Mold


Villagers express anger over 5 Million bags of wheat which have been damaged. The wheat was supposed to be shipped out in 2011 but due to a stoppage by the central government the wheat remained in the village. The wheat is severely damaged and mold has taken over the entire storage. The villagers are complaining the bad smell and increase of flies are affecting their livelihood. They are requesting the government to remove the molded wheat as it’s giving them health problems now.
