3 active California Highway Patrol officers, a well known criminal defense attorney, 2 Punjabi business owners, and 2 others were charged with the disappearance and death of a Northern Californian man.
The 26 year old Korey Kauffman was killed under suspicious circumstances after one of the Highway Patrol officers suspected Kauffman of stealing valuables in his Turlock, California property.
The body of the man was found 1 year after he was seen alive on March 30, 2012.
The Punjabis became involved after one of the officers told one of Punjabi brothers to tell another suspect to check under his car for police tracking devices.
The charge labelled on the Punjabis is of assisting the police officers in the crime.
