(DSU News Bureau) 6 victims of the 1984 Sikh Genocide in New Delhi are on a hunger strike til death in Mohali.

Victims along with the Sikh Students Federation (Mehta) and all India Sikh Students Federation organized a “Insaaf March” from Sri Anandpur Sahib to the resident of Parkash Singh Badal in Chandigarh at Thursday. However, the march was stopped by the police in Mohali after seeing the massive crowd.

The victims have alleged the Punjab Govt took votes on their behest and never full filled promises to rehabilitate the victims.

Some of the demands by the victims were to ensure justice, ownership of flats which they’d been staying in since 1992-1993, rehabilitation and allotment to victims who still aren’t rehabilitated and reservation for children in state schools.
